The 23rd General Assembly of the Forum for International Cooperation and Trade (FICT) is being held in Yeovil, New Courland, on 18 May 2024.

Appointment of a new Director of FSIB

The second term of Mr Faiz Rahman (MAS) expires in May 2024. There are three candidates:

  1. Jeffrey Kjær, former Mayor of Vítgarð (Yukland)
  2. Guillaume Keztil Surt, former Prime Minister of Île de Romanhe
  3. Paula Blodnieks (or Bļodniece), Chairwoman of the Banking Association of New Courland

Mr Kjær wins in a second round of voting with 6 of 11 votes and is appointed FSIB Director.

Award of FICT Prizes 2023-2024

Lowok Aralangit Prize for the promotion of general activities for the benefit of cooperation between FICT member states

The prize is awarded to the Soreli di Carita (Sisters of Charity) of Palipuli, Voskia, for the FICT-wide organisation they set up in support of mono-parental families.

FICT Green Prize for the promotion of environmental solutions

The prize is split between Ms Serẽ Neves Aracary (Yutyrama) for her research in the replacement of plastics by vegetal fiber, and Mr Alfaris Tawahutu (Kaupelan) for his activities to improve residential waste recycling in the city of Purikali.
