Luc Pálssœn was born in 1968 in Vítgarð, Yukland. He graduated in Economics in 1990 by SLHV (Suðlænzk Háskœle i Vítgarði). He joined the Social Democratic Party (LDH) in 1999, was elected deputy for the Legislative Chamber of Suðlændsjésla in 2000 and was chosen as senator of that county in 2004. He left the Parliament to become prime minister by LDH between 2009 and 2012. Mr Pálssœn was one of the main articulators of FICT after its crash in 2012. In 2016, Mr Pálssœn was chosen as director of FSIB, the FICT Social Investment Bank, but resigned in 2017 after being accused during a General Assembly of 'deviating the bank from its original purpose'. In 2019, he became Prime Minister of Yukland for a second term.
