Ivar James Hoare (born 11 December 1947 in Port Carolina) was the seventh prime minister of New Courland from 1998 to 2005 as well as the seventh Deputy Governor-General from 1997 to 1998. He also served as minister of domestic affairs from 1989 to 1996. He is a member of the Conservative Party, serving as party leader from 1998 to 2005 (when he served as Deputy Governor-General, his party membership was frozen). During his secund tenure as prime minister, he fell out of grace with the party leadership, after which he was replaced as party leader and prime minister by the much younger Linda Gascoyne-Macleod.

Ivar Hoare left active politics and enjoys his retirement in his villa in Green Hill.
