Prof. Alexio Mateus (1956) is the first FICT-ambassador for Amargo. He worked at the prestigious Duarte University in Porto Amargo as professor of economics. He is a member of the LP (Liberal Party), but he never formed part of any government or the parliament. However, several times his expertise as economic advisor had been used. He has made a significant contribution in restructuring the Amargan economy after the financial crisis in 2008.
