Romanhe is a language spoken by about three quarter of the population of the republic of Île the Romanhe. It is considered to descend from the indo-iranian group of languages, and became a separate language for more than a thousand years ago. Due to the French colonization and influence during the 20th century, the language is nowadays heavily mixed up with French words and expressions.
