Kataŕine Matuś-Ħememiemei (Катаʀіне Матуш-Хемеміемеі, born as Kataŕine Ħememiemei in Ashtinok on 22 August 1955) is an Adzhatian politician and lawyer, and has been the country's president since 11 October 2014; she is the first woman head of state of Adzhatia. From 2005 to 2007 she served as justice minister under prime ministers Adriań Hićrecei and Ŕanije Erijeź; from 2010 to 2011 she was the party leader of the liberal party AVŎD.

Family

Kataŕine Matuś has married to entrepreneur Aśvĕĺ Matuś since 1979; they have one daughter, Sefije Matuś, who is a museologist.
