Forum for International Cooperation of Tiny States (FICTS)
FICTS was a fictional international organisation for fictional countries on Earth.
Member states (April 2011):
2011 Purikali Conference
In May 2011, the FICTS Reform Conference started in Purikali, capital of Kaupelan. On the agenda was a single, but broad issue: the reform of FICTS. Purpose, name, regulations, are all to be discussed and decided upon in a new treaty.
The discussion took place here: 2011 Purikali Conference forum. (Note: you have to be logged in to Geopoeia to actually see anything of the discussion.)
In the first week of negotiations, it was informally agreed to replace FICTS with Forum for International Cooperation and Trade (FICT), with a new treaty.
The new organization, FICT was founded on 1 July, 2011, after which the ratification process in eight different aspiring member countries started; only Kronenburg decided not to join FICT. The treaty entered into force on 21 October the same year, after six countries had ratified it. FICTS was terminated shortly thereafter.
Secretaries General of FICTS
Each member state of FICTS appoints an ambassador to the organisation. These ambassadors together form the daily executive of FICTS: the FICTS Assembly. The Assembly is chaired by a Secretary General. The ambassadors occupy this position successively during six months, following the order of admittance of the Member States to the Organization.
