Carlos Sifuentes Herrera was Minister of Economic Affairs in the Nergaard- and Morillo-Government. Mr. Sifuentes (1964) comes from a wealthy, conservative family. The modest, somewhat shy economist studied at the Catholic University of Lindavista. Immediately after the coup of 1990 he moved with his family to the USA, where he graduated from Harvard University. After various projects in Spain and Cuba, he returned to Chimor, and became a member of Libertad. Several left-wing members of the Council of Twelve were unhappy with mr. Sifuentes as minister of Economic Affairs, because they considered him too liberal.
