Amargo joins FICT
BIZET, 7 May 2016
During the seventh General Assembly of FICT, the Kingdom of Amargo joined this international organisation for Cooperation and Trade.
Since Amargo is a small country and, like all FICT members, overshadowed by larger and more influential states, the FICT members are working together to overcome economic problems. Prime Minister Isabel Jameson and Foreign Minister Richard van Eyk were very satisfied with the newly gained membership. "This is a unique opportunity to strengthen our economy and give Amargo a more prominent place on the world map," declared Mr. Van Eyk.
Amargo will not be an official FICT member until the treaty is ratified by the government. It is expected that this won't take a long time, since most members of parliament are much in favour of the FICT membership.
FICT Treaty ratified
PORTO AMARGO, 13 May 2016
Today was a day of celebration for our country, according to the King. As expected, parliament voted for joining FICT, and by doing so it ratified the FICT Treaty. Amargo is now a full member of FICT. King Edward declared: "Today may be Friday the 13th, but for Amargo friday the 13th will be a lucky day. Joining FICT will be a new step towards international cooperation, free trade and exchange of technology."
