Alejandra Romero is Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice President in the second Morillo-government in Chimor. Ms. Romero (1971) used to be a controversial person. She became member of parliament for Libertad (now Puro) in 2000. She is a lawyer and comes from a rich upper-class family of landowners, but her family has not fled after the ataxunist coup of 1990. In 2007 she became minister of Justice in the Nergaard-government. Her appointment was very controversial among some ataxunist hardline members of the Council of Twelve. They had the opinion that she had not enough experience, but the true reason was that they thought she was too conservative because of her family background. President Nergaard however, forced her appointment. When she fired the head of the Intelligence Service against the wishes of the Council, the conservative Council members started such a strong lobby that she had to resign as Minister of Justice. President Nergaard was furious and as a revenge she reordered her government, so that ms. Romero could return as Minister of Defence. Although she had indeed little experience, she is known as an energetic fighter. Later, she was one of the forces behind the ousterity of President Nergaard.
